A couple of months ago american Kelly Nugent found out her father's sad diagnosis - bone marrow cancer.

The girl moved to New York from another city to help her dad during treatment, and took her best friend with her - a cat named Sweet Potato.

According to the girl's stories, she was worried how dad and the cat would get along, because her father always loved dogs, and he never lived with cats.

But as it turned out, her cat had a special plan - to win his heart.

"When we moved and my cat got used to it, he just went crazy. He followed dad everywhere, did not leave him and constantly wanted to be near him. I knew that Sweet Poteito always feels if a person is hurt or feels bad and it was touching to watch," says the girl.

Over the past couple of months, Kelly's dad and her cat have become literally inseparable. The man was filled with love in return for the cat, and they became best friends.

And most importantly, during this time, the health of Kelly's father has improved significantly. She thinks that the support of the cat played a role - after all, he was constantly with the man, and gave him his love.
